Israel is the most economically developed country in the region, and Sudan and Yemen are the lest developed. They are still ranked at the traditional level, which means their economies are mostly based on primary industries such as small-scale farming.
Across North Africa and the Middle East, nomadic herding is the most predominate industry. Other industries include the cement and textile industries, agriculture, shipbuilding/ship repair, pulp and paper manufacturing, chemical and pharmaceutical development, and major tech development.
